Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has commended the Nigeria Police Force for the successful rescue of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, younger sister of former Power Minister Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and her two children.
In a post on his verified X account on Saturday night, Keyamo expressed satisfaction with the operation and assured Nigerians that other abducted victims would soon be rescued.“Well done! Well done! The others are coming home soon,” he tweeted.
The victims, Mrs. John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul were rescued on Saturday evening after they were kidnapped on June 3 while on their way to school in Ibadan, Oyo State.
During the rescue operation by the Intelligence Response Team, two suspected kidnappers were killed in a shootout with police operatives, while two firearms were recovered from the gang.
