Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken a swipe at the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, hours after the governor mocked his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, over his frequent dancing at public events.
Davido reacted by sharing what appeared to be Okpebholo’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result on his Instagram story, a move many social media users interpreted as a response to the governor’s remarks.
The comments, captured in a video circulating on social media, showed Okpebholo addressing supporters at a political gathering, where he criticised Adeleke’s leadership style while urging residents not to vote for him.
Speaking at the event, Okpebholo mocked Adeleke over his habit of dancing at official functions.
“Before somebody signs paper, he will dance. Are you not tired? For four years this man has been dancing. Before he takes breakfast, he will dance,”
