
Ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa State, the Migili Cultural Development Association has demanded the Deputy Governorship position under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
The association, therefore, appealed to the State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, to consider one of their sons for the position as a way to give them a sense of belonging in the state.
The National President of the Migili Cultural Development Association, Abu Ishaq, made the appeal on Sunday while speaking with journalists in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
He lamented that despite the block votes of the Migili people in each election circle since the return of democracy in 1999 in the state, the state government had continued to deny the Migili people the opportunity of holding key positions in the state, including that of the Deputy Governor.
