Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun, says all seven abducted students of the Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade, have been rescued.
The students were kidnapped in July.
In a statement on Thursday, Abiodun said the victims were rescued alive through a coordinated operation involving the Nigeria Police Force, the Armed Forces, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Amotekun Corps, vigilantes, local hunters and other security agencies.
The governor said the state government immediately activated a comprehensive security response after the incident was reported, adding that the operation was reinforced with aerial surveillance following a request to the inspector-general of police.
He said the successful rescue demonstrated the effectiveness of intelligence sharing, inter-agency collaboration and sustained operational pressure.
