Two suspects arrested, to others killed in connection with ex-power minister’s sister abduction

The Oyo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT) and other tactical units, has arrested two principal suspects linked to the June 3 abduction of Adegoke Olaide Busayo and her 11-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul. The victims are related to Adebayo Adelabu, the immediate past Minister of Power.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of two facilitators and the neutralisation of two armed members of the criminal syndicate.

The suspects currently in custody include the principal operatives, Wale Abolalewa, also known as “Oloro,” and Dare Oyedele, known as “Solution”. Abolalewa was already on the command’s watchlist for similar criminal activities.

The two additional suspects, identified as Semiu Ishola, 39, and Adeyemi Ayobami, 35, were arrested for allegedly contracting and facilitating the use of the criminal hideout in the Lado community, Ayegun, Ibadan.
