The Osun State All Progressives Congress Governorship Campaign Council on Friday condemned videos that went viral on the social media purporting that some individuals took oaths to vote for the state Governor, Ademola Adeleke and the Accord Party in the forthcoming August 15 governorship election in the state.
The campaign council, in a statement signed by the Head Media and Publicity Committee,
Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, Remi Omowaiye, described the incident as the “Latest dimension of vote-buying.
Describing the act as dastardly, crude and morally reprehensible, the council said, “The incident represents a dangerous descent into political desperation and an affront to the democratic values that guarantee every citizen the freedom to vote according to their conscience without coercion, intimidation or manipulation.”
Responding, The Imole Campaign Council, the group leading the re-election of Governor Adeleke, noted the incident “as laughable and defeatist the attempt by the Osun State APC
