BUA Group has dissociated itself from a viral AI-generated video circulating on social media, which allegedly promotes an investment scheme and falsely features its Founder and Executive Chairman, Abdulsamad Rabiu.
The company said the video, which has been shared across social media platforms, promises “unrealistic investment returns” and is aimed at misleading members of the public into a fraudulent scheme.
The disclaimer was contained in a statement shared on the group’s official social media handle on Monday.
BUA Group said it had no connection to the content, stressing that it was not associated in any form with the platform or its claims.
It stated that “neither our Founder/Executive Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, BUA Group nor any of our subsidiaries, is in any way or by any means associated/connected with this platform nor its purported investment promise.”
