Governor Mai Mala Buni explained why his administration considered young technocrats for strategic appointments to key government positions, citing examples of young people who became leaders at a young age and delivered above expectations in the country.
According to Buni, the administration’s recent appointments of young, energetic, and qualified people demonstrated his confidence in the capacity of young people, as evidenced by the appointment and swearing-in of Mohammed Goje as the youngest Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in the history of Yobe State.
Goje was the first appointee Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) in 2019. Through his exceptional dedication, professionalism, hard work, integrity, innovation, and commitment to public service, he distinguished himself as a result-oriented leader who consistently delivered on his responsibilities.
