Several aspirants who contested in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for seats in the Bauchi State House of Assembly have protested what they described as neglect and exclusion by the party following their defeat.
Operating under the banner of the Bauchi State House of Assembly 2026 APC Aspirants Forum, the group addressed a press briefing in Bauchi on Monday, stressing that their intervention was aimed at strengthening the party ahead of the general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, Gazali Wunti said the primaries left many aspirants and supporters disillusioned, with some defecting to other parties.
He noted that while the exercise fell short of expectations, members of the forum deliberately chose to remain in the APC and seek redress through constructive engagement.
