Manchester United summer signing, Andrey Santos, has told the club’s manager, Michael Carrick, his preferred position as the new season approaches.
He also expressed his desire to replicate the playing style of his fellow countryman, Casemiro, at Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old joined the Red Devils this summer in a deal reportedly worth £48 million from rivals, Chelsea.
Carrick’s team has lost experienced defensive midfielder, Casemiro due to the expiration of his contract this summer. In response, they have signed two midfield reinforcements: Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
After his transfer to Old Trafford, Santos emphasized his intention to follow in Casemiro’s footsteps, who departed from Manchester United this summer.
He stated, as reported by centredevils on X, “Casemiro for me, it’s like a legend, you know. So now he’s gone out. Now I’m here so I feel that I can do like Casemiro did in the last season and I’m here
