Pastor nabbed over N2.5m Jerusalam pilgrimage scam in Ogun

Detectives attached to the Obantoko Division of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Kehinde Makinde, aka “Pastor Kenny,” for obtaining ₦2.5 million from 18 fellowship members under the false pretence of organising a government-sponsored pilgrimage to Jerusalem.

DAILY POST learnt that the suspect was also alleged to have fraudulently manipulated unsuspecting victims under the guise of spiritual deliverance across Ogun, Oyo and Osun states.

According to a statement signed by the Police Spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi and made available to DAILY POST on Monday, the arrest followed four months of sustained intelligence gathering and discreet investigation.

Babaseyi stated that preliminary investigation also revealed that the suspect promised each member ₦2 million.

He said, “On 3rd August, 2026, at about 1645hrs, arrested Kehinde Makinde ‘M’, popularly known as “Pastor Kenny,” in Ibadan, Oyo State.

“Preliminary investigation further revealed that the suspect allegedly obtained approximately ₦2.5 million from eighteen fellowship members
