WAFCON 2026: Cameroon goalkeeper thumbs up win over Super Falcons

Cameroon goalkeeper Michaely Bihina has reacted to the Indomitable Lionesses’ victory over the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Valentine Nguélé’s side booked a place in the semi-final of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations following a hard-earned 1-0 victory over the 10-time champions.

The victory also ensure the Indomitable Lionesses will fly Africa’s flag at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

Myriam Nyadjou scored the decisive goal from a free-kick in the 19th minute.

The Super Falcons, who dominated the game pushed relentlessly for an equaliser, but Bihina repeatedly denied them with a series of crucial saves.

The Benfica shot stopper produced nine saves to prevent Justine Madugu’s side from finding a way back into the game.

Bihina, who was named Player of the Match, praised her teammates for contributing to the win.
