Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has asked the people of Osun state to vote for Najeem Salaam, governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Saturday’s election.
The ADC presidential candidate made the appeal on Monday during the grand finale of the ADC governorship campaign rally in Osogbo, the state capital.
The former vice-president said the ADC is different from other political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord, and assured residents that they would not regret voting for the party.
“This is the fourth time I am standing on this podium, and each time I stood here, you gave me your vote. I cannot forget that,” Atiku said.
He recalled his previous visits to the state, saying he had campaigned for Ademola Adeleke, the incumbent governor, and later returned during his presidential campaign, adding that residents supported him on both occasions.
