The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, has categorically denied any involvement in the alleged leakage of the results of the just-concluded Common Entrance Examination, reported during a programme on a popular radio station in Ibadan.
The Board described the allegation as false, misleading and capable of causing unnecessary damage to the reputation of the Board and its leadership.
The Board made the disclosures in a statement released on Tuesday, made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The statement read in part: “For the avoidance of doubt, OYOSUBEB is not involved at any stage in the conduct, setting, production or handling of questions for the Common Entrance Examination.
“Therefore, any attempt to link the Board, its Executive Chairman or its officials to the alleged leakage is completely unfounded.
