Police arrest four suspected gang members linked to Lagos killings, robbery

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested four suspected members of a criminal gang allegedly linked to recent cases of murder, armed robbery and cult-related activities in the Ajah axis of the state.

The suspects were arrested during sustained follow-up operations arising from a robbery investigation, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi.

The police identified the suspects as Kareem Abiodun, 26; Tansiru Emmanuel, 29; Lateef Usman, 28; and Alashe Azeez, 32.

The command said preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects were allegedly connected to robbery incidents in Ajah, Sangotedo and Ibeju-Lekki.

According to the police, the suspects also made confessional statements allegedly linking them to armed robbery, murder and cult-related activities.

During the operation, the police recovered three locally made pistols, one live round of ammunition, two battle axes and a Point-of-Sale, POS, machine.

The command said the suspects remained
