Transfer: ‘My medical went well’ – Ederson surprised over Man United’s decision

Brazilian midfielder, Ederson has said he successfully completed his medical at Manchester United before the club withdrew from the transfer agreement.

The Red Devils decided against proceeding with the transfer during the summer after subjecting the Brazilian to a medical examination during the FIFA World Cup.

In a media interaction, Ederson refuted claims that he failed his medical at Manchester United.

He said that neither he nor his representatives were informed of the reasons behind the club’s decision to abandon the transfer, but expressed his contentment at signing a new contract to remain with Atalanta.

As reported by Sportskeeda, via Yahoo, the Brazilian stated: “I honestly don’t know what transpired. I have always received interest from other clubs, and I could have joined another English team. The medical assessments were satisfactory, but I am uncertain about what occurred.

“I have been with Atalanta for four years and have consistently played.
