Transfer: You’re not good enough to play for Man United – Teddy Sheringham slams new signing

Former Manchester United player, Teddy Sheringham, has said that the club’s new signing, Youri Tielemans, does not possess the caliber required to play for a club of Manchester United’s status.

In July, Tielemans moved from Aston Villa to join Michael Carrick’s team in a deal worth £35 million.

The 29-year-old midfielder is anticipated to be a key player for the club, expected to assume the leadership role following Casemiro’s departure.

Nonetheless, Sheringham has criticised Manchester United for failing to seek a younger midfielder during this summer’s transfer window.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player also believes that Tielemans will not make a significant impact at the Red Devils.

He told MetBonus, via Metro, “Manchester United have already lost their chance to acquire the additional midfielder they required, as all the top players have already been signed. To secure the best talent, one must be willing to invest. History has shown this.
