Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on residents of the state to embrace forgiveness, peace and unity as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In a goodwill message released on Tuesday through his spokesperson, Olawele Rasheed, the governor urged citizens to reflect on the virtues exemplified by Prophet Muhammad, including compassion, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
Governor Adeleke also appealed to political stakeholders and residents to put the recent governorship election behind them and focus on the collective development of Osun State.
According to the governor, “the teachings of Prophet Muhammad provide guidance for building a society founded on mutual respect, understanding and harmony.
