What actually is required in order to become a leader? Is it a position or a title, a number of years’ experience, or is there something more fundamental involved?
The Executive Secretary of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA), Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, had these questions in mind when she set up The Leadership Room, a new leadership discussion series aimed at giving young people the opportunity to gain access to the experiences, viewpoints and lessons of leaders who have already been through the journey.
The Leadership Room, which is the Academy’s first such initiative, is a six-month virtual series consisting of conversations that will gather emerging leaders with established figures from various sectors for honest and practical discussions on what leadership actually means and what is required in order to lead with character, competence and purpose.
