Kenneth Okonkwo, a campaign spokesman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has disclosed the reason for the disagreement between the former vice president and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Okonkwo revealed that Atiku told him that Obasanjo was nursing a third term ambition in 2007 and his refusal to support the agenda led to their differences.
In an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, the lawyer said Obasanjo vowed never to handover power to Atiku for refusing to support his third term bid.
Obasanjo was Nigeria’s President from 1999 to 2007 and during his administration, Atiku was his Vice President.

However, Okonkwo said some Nigerians are against Atiku becoming President because he wants to make life better for citizens.
