Real Madrid defender, Raul Asencio was acquitted on Thursday of charges that he had revealed a sex video without the consent of those involved.
Asencio was cleared after the two young women who appeared in the sexually explicit videos, which had put the defender and his former teammates, Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodriguez and Andres Garcia, in the dock, confirmed to the judge that they had forgiven the four people involved, Marca reports.
Reacting after the court cleared him of all charges, Asencio, in a post on Instagram, admitted that he had gone through “difficult moments during the whole process.”
The 23-year-old also thanked “Real Madrid and all the people who stayed by his side and supported him.”

However, Asencio’s place in the Real Madrid squad under manager Jose Mourinho is still uncertain.
On Thursday, Mourinho said Real Madrid had opened a “disciplinary proceeding” against Asencio following a DUI conviction.
