IT project professional, Ogheneruona Ajuyasono, is championing greater stakeholder involvement to help organisations develop systems that are better aligned with real operational needs. How do you align developers, clinical teams, vendors, and business leaders during a technology project?
The starting point is to establish a shared understanding of the project objectives, responsibilities, timelines and expected outcomes. Different stakeholders often have different priorities, so I focus on making sure those priorities are clearly understood and reflected in the project plan.
Regular meetings, clear documentation and consistent communication are important. I also use project-management tools such as Jira, ClickUp and MS Project to track tasks, responsibilities and progress. This gives stakeholders visibility into what has been completed,
