From electrical engineering to Lagos Business School, Professor Albert Alos devoted his entire life to teaching, institution-building, and shaping generations of Nigerian leaders.
Alos arrived in Nigeria in 1967, a young Spanish engineer stepping into a country caught in the turmoil of civil war.
He could hardly have known then that the country would become his home, or that his name would eventually be woven into the history of Nigeria’s engineering education, business management and higher education.
Nearly 60 years later, Alos leaves behind a legacy that stretches from the lecture halls of Nigerian universities to the foundations of Lagos Business School and Pan Atlantic University.
Born in Barcelona, Spain, on September 17, 1939, Alos studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Bilbao, where he earned his doctorate in 1966.
