Nigeria striker Akor Adams opened his Serie A account on Friday, scoring his first league goal for newly promoted Venezia against Fiorentina, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Adams needed just 22 minutes in his third league appearance to register his first goal in the Italian topflight, putting Venezia ahead with a well-taken finish.
The 26-year-old turned a perfectly weighted pass into the roof of the net from the edge of the box before wheeling away in celebration.
His joy was short-lived, however, as Franco Mastantuono responded with two quick goals for the visitors before half-time.
The goal added to an impressive start to life in Italy for Adams, who also made an instant impact in the Coppa Italia three weeks ago.
