Former Anambra State governor and 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, has said the most important reform Nigeria needs is a transformation of leadership, arguing that no nation can rise above the character, competence, capacity and commitment of those entrusted with its leadership.
Obi stated this in a post shared on his official X account on Monday after meeting with a group of young Nigerian professionals in Washington, DC, including medical doctors, healthcare professionals, educators, lawyers, engineers, technology experts, entrepreneurs and business leaders.
The meeting, according to Obi, focused on good governance, the challenges confronting Nigeria and the urgent reforms required to move the country forward.
