Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has said the state will take centre stage at the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York as his administration moves to showcase its investment potential and attract investors.
Fubara said the UNGA platform provided a unique opportunity to market Rivers State as Nigeria’s leading investment destination in oil and gas, as well as other critical sectors.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Onwuka Nzeshi, and sent to newsmen.
Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the conference in New York, the governor said his participation at the global meeting was aimed at giving visibility to Rivers State, showcasing its economic endowments and wooing investors to the state.
