The Federal Capital Territory Administration has identified 100 communities within the six area councils for monthly maternal and child health programs aimed at enhancing access to reproductive, maternal, and child health services.
Maimuna Mikail Isah, Coordinator for Reproductive Health at the FCT Primary Health Care Board, shared this information during a medical outreach organized by the Rotary Action Group for Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health (RMCH) in the Kayar Darkasa community, located in the Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
According to Isah, these activities are outlined in the Board’s Annual Operational Plan (AOP) for 2027 and will take place over the course of a year, with the six area councils hosting the outreach programs on a quarterly basis.
She mentioned that this initiative would also support the continuation of some of the interventions currently provided by Rotary RMCH as the organization readies to conclude the project.
