Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, has pledged to prioritise technology, infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth development and support for businesses as part of his proposed agenda for the state.
Hamzat, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the 2027 election, said his vision is to create an environment where businesses could thrive, and government systems would operate more efficiently.
He stated this on Monday at an event organised by 7-Fifteen Capital in Ikoyi, Lagos, where he engaged with about 150 young executives, founders, investors and business leaders.
Hamzat said his proposed Digital Lagos 2.0 initiative, which would deploy artificial intelligence, blockchain and smart-city technologies in governance and service delivery, aims to improve digital government and position Lagos as a leading technology and innovation hub.
