The Peoples Democratic Party senatorial candidate for Anambra South in the 2027 general election, Prince Samben Nwosu, has pledged to prioritise job creation, sustainable empowerment and grassroots development if elected.
Nwosu, a former organising secretary of the PDP and former Federal Commissioner at the Public Complaints Commission, made the pledge during an interaction with journalists at his country home in Nnewi on Tuesday.
He said his proposed representation would adopt a community-based approach to address the socio-economic challenges facing residents of the seven local government areas that make up the senatorial district.
Anambra South comprises Aguata, Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Orumba North, Orumba South, Nnewi North and Nnewi South Local Government Areas.
Nwosu said he was seeking election to the Senate to provide what he described as quality representation rather than to pursue personal wealth.
