Residents of Idogun Community in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State have called on the state governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to extend development to the community, saying it lacks infrastructural development.
The residents, who organised a get-together to celebrate their one year of peaceful co-existence, said the community, apart from being peaceful, the community needed development to complement the peace.
Our correspondent reports that a crisis erupted in the town in October as some irate youths attacked the town’s monarch, Oba Moses Bakare, and his wife in a crisis, which occurred during the annual New Yam festival of the community. The traditional ruler was said to have since left the town following the crisis.
It was also reported that the leaders of the community who have been managing the affairs of Idogun had since called on the government to allow the appointment of a regent to fill the vacuum
