Police arraign Rivers school proprietress for assaulting teenage student

The Rumuepirikom Police Division of the Rivers State Police Command, on Wednesday, arraigned Mrs Orjiugo Udeala, proprietress of Phronesis Nursery, Primary and Secondary School, located along NTA Road, Rumokwuta, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, before a Magistrate’s Court over the alleged assault of a 16-year-old male student of the school.

According to the charge sheet obtained by our correspondent on Wednesday, marked Charge No. REMC 94 C/2026 and signed by CSP Ahmed Umar, the accused was charged with conspiracy and assault occasioning harm.

The first count of the charge reads: “That you, Orjiugo Udeala (female), and one other person now at large, on June 8, 2026, at Phronesis Nursery, Primary and Secondary School, NTA Road, Rumokwuta, Port Harcourt, within the Rumuepirikom Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit a felony, to wit: assault occasioning harm, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 516(A) of the Criminal Code, Cap 37,
