The Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Appolonia Anele, has urged media practitioners to remain ambassadors of truth and uphold ethical standards in support of national security and development.
Anele made the call at the closing of the combined first and second quarters Directorate of Army Public Relations Media Workshop 2026 on Wednesday in Abuja.
She said the media remained a critical stakeholder in shaping national security outcomes through accurate, professional and responsible reportage.
According to her, the workshop, with the theme, “Media Integration as a Force Multiplier for Joint and Multi-Agency Operational Success”, highlighted the strategic role of media operations in modern security environments.
Anele said effective media integration enhanced operational coordination, strengthened inter-agency collaboration and amplified mission successes.
She noted that discussions during the workshop also focused on the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in media operations and strategic communication.
