The Zamfara State Government on Monday announced the suspension of Dr. Sirajo Shinkafi, Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, citing alleged misconduct and insubordination.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, the suspension was declared effective immediately.
Nakwada explained that the decision was taken to safeguard the smooth running of academic and administrative activities at the institution.
“The Government assures the Polytechnic community and the general public that measures have been put in place to ensure the uninterrupted administration of the institution,” the statement read.
Efforts to reach Dr. Shinkafi for comment were unsuccessful, as his phone line was unavailable at the time of filing this report.
