
A former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has urged U.S. President Donald Trump and the international community to intervene in the planned deregistration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following a recent court ruling.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Frank warned that any move to eliminate major opposition parties could trigger a national crisis and erode Nigeria’s democratic foundations.
The former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC described the development as a direct threat to multi-party democracy.
