Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has criticised Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over the disclosure of personal information belonging to Nollywood actor Emeka Ike.
Fayose argued that Olayinka should be facing legal consequences for allegedly publishing details obtained from the database of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Speaking in a video shared on social media platform X, Fayose expressed concern over what he described as the lack of accountability in the country. He said the incident involving the actor’s voter registration information highlighted deeper issues within Nigeria’s legal and governance systems.
“We were all here a few weeks ago when Lere Olayinka, an aide to Wike, posted Emeka Ike’s details from INEC records.
“Up till now, no action has been taken against him, and he is still walking free. In a lawful country, Lere would have been in jail by now,” he said.
