
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said his administration is one of the few states implementing the approved national minimum wage.
Adeleke made this known in Osogbo, Osun State on Wednesday at the opening session of the National Retreat of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council.
The governor also said his administration has placed high premium on workers’ welfare through provision of work friendly environment to enhance their productivity.
Beside payment of the national minimum wage to its workers, Adeleke also said his administration has equally continued the implementation of measures to ease the burden on retirees.
He added that efforts were being made to clear outstanding liabilities to the retirees.
Highlighting other incentives to motivate the state workforce, the governor said he has ensured regular and prompt payment of salaries to workers across the State.
