Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said his administration is among the few in the country implementing the approved national minimum wage.
The governor stated this on Wednesday in Osogbo at the opening session of the National Retreat of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council.
Adeleke also said his administration prioritised workers’ welfare through the provision of a conducive working environment to enhance productivity.
In addition to the payment of the national minimum wage, the governor said the government has continued to implement measures aimed at easing the burden on retirees, adding that efforts were ongoing to clear outstanding liabilities.
Highlighting incentives to motivate the state workforce, Adeleke said his administration had ensured regular and prompt payment of salaries.
