Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has insisted that Nigeria’s absence from the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament is bad.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup edition kicked off last week with the likes of Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, DR Congo, Tunisia, South Africa and Algeria representing Africa.

Nigeria failed to qualify after losing the World Cup playoffs against DR Congo.

Speaking during a recent social media stream, Osimhen expressed his disappointment regarding the Super Eagles’ absence.

“It’s bad, not just for me but for the rest of the guys,” Osimhen said.

“We have missed out twice in a row. Sometimes life happens, so we just have to keep moving,” the Galatasaray star added.
