Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has visited Mrs. Amina Rabe Abubakar, wife of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar, following her rescue from kidnappers by troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
Mrs. Abubakar, who is receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, was freed after a fierce confrontation between troops and her abductors.
Governor Radda, accompanied by the Director General of Media Affairs, Maiwada Dammallam, commended the gallantry and professionalism of the security forces.
He noted that the successful rescue has boosted public confidence in ongoing efforts to restore peace and security across Katsina and the wider North-West region.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in tackling banditry, kidnapping, and other crimes threatening citizens.
The operation is being hailed as another major success for Nigerian security forces, underscoring their determination to protect lives and combat insecurity nationwide.
