The Conference of United Political Parties (CUPP) has thrown its weight behind the House of Representatives Minority Caucus, urging President Bola Tinubu to either demonstrate effective leadership in tackling Nigeria’s security challenges or resign from office.
In a statement signed by its Acting National Chairman, Chief Peter Ameh, the CUPP said it fully aligns with the Minority Caucus’s position, stressing that the current administration must urgently address the nation’s pressing problems or step aside for more capable leadership.
The group declared: “In a sane clime, any elected official who refuses to produce results of good governance that will help make the lives of the people better should honourably resign.”
CUPP further stated: “President Bola Tinubu and his administration must step up immediately to address the pressing issues of insecurity, economic hardship, and the general wellbeing of Nigerians.
