Leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Yagba Federal Constituency of Kogi State have dismissed efforts to challenge the outcome of the party’s primary election, maintaining that Leke Abejide emerged as the party’s candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election through a transparent democratic process and secured a clear mandate from members.
The position was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, Chairman of Yagba West Local Government and ALGON Chairman in Kogi State, Tosin Olokun, Chairman of Yagba East Local Government, Dare Joshua, Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government, Ademola Bello, and other stakeholders under the platform of the Leke Abejide Support Group.
The APC leaders called on party members and the general public to disregard attempts to distort the outcome of the primary election, insisting that the democratic process had run its course and produced a clear winner.
