Police crackdown on vehicles with obscured, invalid number plates in Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has commenced a statewide enforcement exercise targeting vehicles with covered, obscured, unauthorised, defaced, or no registration number plates.

A statement issued by Oyiza Afusat, the Command’s spokesperson, stated that the exercise was in line with the directive of the inspector – General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu and is aimed at strengthening public safety by denying criminal elements the use of unidentifiable vehicles for criminal activities.

She wrote, “The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, has directed all Area Commanders, Motor Traffic police and Divisional Police Officers to enforce full compliance within their Areas of Responsibility.
