Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has formally presented Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election, to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting took place shortly after Gwamna emerged victorious in the APC’s governorship primary, which the party described as an overwhelming win.
President Tinubu congratulated Gwamna on his emergence as the candidate and commended Governor Yahaya for his exemplary leadership in strengthening the APC in Gombe State.
Tinubu expressed confidence in the party’s ability to sustain developmental strides in the state and maintain the political stability achieved under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“The party will continue to build on its developmental achievements,” Tinubu was quoted as saying.Governor Yahaya, in turn, thanked President Tinubu for his purposeful leadership and support to Gombe State in infrastructure, economic growth, and sustainable development policies.
