The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria’s South-West zone has praised voters in Ekiti State for their massive turnout and support in re-electing Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term in office.
In a statement issued in Ibadan on Monday by the zonal Publicity Secretary, Ayobami Afolabi, the party described the victory as unprecedented and a clear endorsement of the quality leadership provided by both Governor Oyebanji and President Bola Tinubu.
“Oyebanji’s re-election is not only unprecedented but a testament to the fact that most Nigerians appreciate the quality leadership being offered by both the governor and President Bola Tinubu,” the statement said.
According to the APC, about 90 per cent of the total votes cast across Ekiti’s 16 local government areas went to the party’s candidate, reflecting the people’s decision to continue trusting the “Broom Party.”
