Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has interpreted the outcome of the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency by-election as a strong indicator of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf highlighted the large voter turnout and peaceful conduct of the poll as evidence of continued strong support for the APC and its policies in the state.

The governor described the election as free, fair, and credible, saying it accurately reflected the wishes of the electorate. He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its effective organization of the exercise and praised security agencies for ensuring peace throughout the process.

According to Yusuf, the successful conduct and result of the by-election have further boosted public confidence in Nigeria’s democratic institutions. He congratulated the victorious APC candidate and urged him to prioritize quality representation
