The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a 100-level student of a higher institution in Delta State, reportedly by his elder brother, following a disagreement.
The incident, which occurred on June 17, 2026, involved two brothers, Fejiro and Joseph, aged 21 and 19, respectively, who were both students of the same institution and shared accommodation arranged by their parents.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed the incident in a video statement on Monday, describing it as “a very disturbing report” that underscored the need for proper child upbringing and moral guidance.
According to him, the disagreement between the brothers escalated into a physical confrontation inside their residence before neighbours intervened and separated them. However, the situation resumed shortly afterwards.
