
The Delta State Police Command has confirmed that a 21-year-old university student allegedly stabbed his 19-year-old younger brother to death during a violent altercation over bathroom slippers before fleeing the scene and remaining at large.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a video update shared on Facebook on Monday.
Edafe said the incident occurred on June 17, 2026, involving Fejiro, 21, a 200-level student, and his younger brother, Joseph, 19, a 100-level student.
He said both siblings were engaged in a disagreement over bathroom slippers, which escalated into a violent confrontation that eventually turned deadly.
According to him, although neighbours initially separated them, the brothers reportedly continued the altercation behind the house, where it took a fatal turn.
