Politics Won’t Stop Development Projects in FCT, Says Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured residents of Abuja that ongoing and planned development projects across the territory will not be halted or slowed by political activities as the 2027 general elections approach.

Wike made this commitment on Tuesday while flagging off the construction of service carriageways along the Southern Parkway, from Arterial Road S20 (Oladipo Diya Way) to Ring Road II. The project is part of several initiatives being commissioned to mark President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office. 

The minister emphasised that the FCT Administration remains committed to transforming the nation’s capital in line with President Tinubu’s directives, regardless of the political climate.
