Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has made history, becoming the African artiste with the highest number of entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Afrofusion superstar, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, now boasts nine entries on the prestigious ranking — surpassing fellow Nigerian singer Tems, who previously tied with him at eight.
His latest entry came from ‘Dai Dai‘, the official song of the ongoing FIFA World Cup, which he recorded with Colombian pop icon Shakira.
The track debuted at number 75 on this week’s chart, pushing Burna Boy ahead.
The collaboration came after Shakira expressed interest in working with the Nigerian star.
