Anambra security outfit kills three gunmen who attacked Soludo’s aide convoy

The Anambra State-owned security outfit, Agunechemba operatives, have dislodged the camp of an armed terror group in Aguata Local Government Area of the state, killing three hoodlums, while several others fled with gunshot injuries.

During the operation carried out by the Agunechemba operatives attached to the FOB Unit, Aguata, on Tuesday night, a Rocket-Propelled Grenade, AK-47 rifles and other weaponry, such as the gang’s operational white Hilux van, along with various charms, handbags, and other incriminating items.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the Media and Publicity Secretary, Agunechemba, Nweke Nweke disclosed that members of the gang had previously attacked the convoy of Chief of Staff to the state governor, Chukwuma Soludo.

PUNCH Online had on June 2, reported that some gunmen attacked the convoy of the newly-appointed Chief of Staff to governor, Ben Nwankwo, killing four persons, including two police officers and two civilians.
